***** ABOUT THE MOTORHOME *****
DESIGN
La Pacheca is a Peugeot J5 motorhome (designed with one of the best engines, known for its durability and reliability). It’s a vehicle with some years behind it but still very dependable, like those built in the good old days. In my opinion (I’m a vintage lover), the retro style of these homes on wheels has yet to be surpassed! :)
CAPACITY
La Pacheca is ideal for up to 2 adults and 1 or 2 children. It has 2 front seats and 4 rear seats. (Note that the rear seats do not have seat belts, as the law did not require them at the time of manufacture). However, traveling in the back is legally allowed and safe with responsibility and awareness, but I recommend extra caution when traveling with children.
BEDS
The motorhome has two double beds (one converts from the main dining table, and the other is fixed in the overhead cab above the driver and passenger seats). There is also a small single bed for children, which can also be used as a sofa or a small table for reading, relaxing, or enjoying a coffee (visible in the photos at the back of the motorhome).
KITCHEN / DINING AREA
In front of the main dining table, you'll find the kitchen, equipped with three gas burners, a sink, and a modern compressor fridge powered by solar energy – it works great!The kitchen is fully equipped with all the basics (plates, cutlery, a pot, a frying pan, and a coffee maker), plus some special extras to enhance your experience: a wine opener, a cheese grater (don’t miss the delicious Menorcan cheese!).
ENERGY
The motorhome is equipped with a 200W solar panel that charges an internal gel battery. This battery is also charged by the engine alternator while driving. This ensures that you always have plenty of power.
This system allows you to charge phones via USB, and with an inverter, you can power a 220V outlet (like at home) for laptops, mosquito repellents, etc.Note: The system does not provide enough power for high-voltage devices like hairdryers.
The energy also powers the water pump for the sink and shower, as well as the fridge (which was replaced in 2023 and works perfectly).
ADVANTAGES & DISADVANTAGES
You're about to rent a motorhome with some years of experience, so I want to highlight some potential drawbacks. However, I believe the advantages will convince you!
DISADVANTAGES
SPEED & POWER: The cruising speed is 90 km/h max, and on some hills (very few in Menorca), you'll need to downshift to third gear. Personally, I don’t mind – I live at the island’s pace, enjoying the journey without rushing :)
NO POWER STEERING: You'll only notice this when parking or maneuvering. Turning the wheel requires a bit more effort. Personally, I wouldn’t call this a disadvantage—it could even be an advantage if you like an arm workout! :)
WATER: For now, there is no hot water. Although the vehicle has a gas water heater, I have temporarily deactivated it for safety reasons. This means that water from the sink and shower is room temperature. You probably won’t need hot water in the summer, but it's important to know!

ADVANTAGES
PRICE: I try to balance out the small disadvantages with an affordable price. You're essentially getting a fully equipped motorhome at the price of a van, making it a great opportunity to experience van life!
EXTRAS: To compensate for any minor downsides, I’ve included extra features that I’m sure you’ll love.

INCLUDED EXTRAS
PADDLEBOARD: New this year! I’ve added an inflatable paddleboard with a paddle. It can be stored inflated inside the motorhome or on the roof. If you don’t want to inflate and deflate it each time, it fits inside just fine. Brand new for this season!
2 LED FANS: Rechargeable via USB, they can be hung from the ceiling above the bed or placed on a tripod. Perfect for summer nights!
LED LAMP with adjustable warm lighting, ideal for outdoor use or creating a cozy atmosphere.
BLUETOOTH SPEAKER: No need to bring your own! Ideal for driving or relaxing moments.
2 HIGH-QUALITY SNORKEL MASKS: As a snorkeling and freediving enthusiast, I provide good-quality silicone masks, so you don’t have to buy disposable ones.
OTHER EXTRAS: Camping table and chairs, beach umbrella, first aid kit, portable cooler, beach rackets, and ball... If you need anything, let me know!

ABOUT MENORCA
What can I say about Menorca? This small island is a Mediterranean paradise with crystal-clear waters, delicious local food, and warm-hearted people. Menorca has remained pristine and unspoiled, thanks to everyone’s responsibility. It is a Biosphere Reserve, home to unique flora and fauna.
The motorhome allows you to sleep right by the sea, enjoying stunning views and unforgettable sunsets. If you're lucky, you might spot terrestrial turtles (native and protected), cormorants, lizards, Menorcan kestrels (Xoriguers), octopuses, starfish, noble pen shells, and even bioluminescent plankton (one of the most magical natural wonders!).
And remember: Look, but don’t touch! We must respect the harmony of these beautiful creatures.
